Denise Letcher

Denise M. Letcher is Executive Vice President, Chief Data Officer within Independent Risk Management (IRM) for PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. In this role, she leads Enterprise Data Management, which includes Data Strategy, Data Risk Framework, and Risk Information. She is also the Director of Corporate Insurance and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for IRM.

Ms. Letcher’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the data warehouse, analytics infrastructure investment and delivery, data quality and remediation, data governance, which includes data risk metrics and aggregation, as well as regulatory information and reporting. As Director of Corporate Insurance, she ensures the group provides risk balanced insurance solutions. In her role as COO for IRM, Ms. Letcher is responsible for business continuity, talent management and communications.

Ms. Letcher has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector. Prior to rejoining PNC in 2010, she was the Director of Risk Management Technology for both Wachovia and Wells Fargo. In those positions, she was responsible for compliance and operational risk, technology and information strategy.

Ms. Letcher is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in business economics, with a concentration in accounting.
