Shant is an expert in high performance data processing, query optimization and distributed systems. He was previously a Senior Software Engineer at Teradata, by means of the acquisition of Aster Data, where he was an early engineer developing key areas of the Aster Analytic System. He also spent a summer working on the Ads Database at Google. His experience includes everything from Linux kernel programing and database optimization all the way to visualization. He started his first lemonade stand at the age of 4 and ran a small IT consulting business in high school. Shant studied computer science at UCLA where he had publications in top tier computer systems conferences.
